West Yorkshire Spinners are a Worsted spinning company specialising in the production of classical and fancy yarns in natural and synthetic fibres. Their main markets are the hand knitting, machine knitting and carpet industries. They are known for their colourful and innovative yarns and in recent years have expanded their production facilities for the niche markets they operate in.

“We have been working with Harrison Gardner for over 10 years and they have always provided a great service, dyeing our yarns for us and working on new dyeing techniques.

We operate a niche business and need to keep on developing new and innovative dyeing techniques to keep ahead in the market place. We often get new ideas at trade shows and will work with Jonathan and Daniel at Harrison Gardner to research and develop these into new yarn products. They can provide samples, prototypes as well as colour test facilities which ensures that we can develop our ideas fully.

It is a collaborative relationship that has seen us develop yarns with Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and also Jojoba oil, which are kind to the skin and are used for products such as sock or hand knitting yarns. It is this open and honest exchange of ideas and views that has helped both our businesses succeed in a challenging and competitive market place. We have always had a good relationship with Harrison Gardner, felt looked after and received a high level of customer service at all times in a partnership that has benefited us both ”
