Harrison, Gardner & Co. Ltd. was formed in the year 1901 and
until 2006 was based at Hightown Liversedge. Then the
company relocated to a purpose built dyehouse at Buttershaw
Bradford to ensure maintenance of its high standards of
quality and service.
Principally a family managed company, it is now owned by
Jonathan and Daniel Harrison, the 4th generation of the
founder William Herbert Harrison..
The customer base was
initially in West Yorkshire but has progressed to having
customers throughout the UK and in many parts of the world.
Harrison, Gardner & Co initial business was based on the
dyeing of wool slubbing in the hank form, but began hank
dyeing of hand-knitting and today services the markets of
carpets, furnishing fabrics, weaving, hosiery, hand-knitting
and tapestry.
Commission dyeing services are offered for the majority of
fibres, using the best dyeing equipment available.
Emphasis is placed upon quality dyeing with a service that
is right on time to meet the delivery specification of
customers.
The company also exports
indirectly to:
Scandinavia, North America, and directly to South Africa,
Finland, Norway and Greece.
Harrison, Gardner & Co. Ltd. is a member of the
Confederation of British Wool Textiles Ltd.
The Company pursues a policy of good environmental control
and is aware at all times of it's 'Eco' responsibilities. |
